The Challenge

Fall Creek Station had approximately six wells off site that feed the treatment plant without a means to control them from the plant.  The customer was looking for a reliable method of establishing communications with them and controlling their operation from the plant control room.

The Solution

Well control panels were designed and fabricated in our UL508 Panel Shop and delivered to the customer's General Contractor. These panels featured Allen Bradley ML1500 PLCs with Spread Spectrum Radio Modems to connect to the gateway PLC we provided for the plant.  The system was programmed to report by exception, allowing rapid updates of status and control without the need to roll through a polling list.
